The Rubicon area is a territory inhabited by a very high percentage of women.
The project "My Dear" focuses on the above-mentioned target and moves around the SDG 5 (to achieve gender equality and emancipate all women and girls) of the Agenda 2030.
Using photography as the main mean of expression, a dialogue is set between migrant women, natives, asylum seekers and women of different ages, living into the Municipalities of the Union. A participatory photographic laboratory will be created as an opportunity to contrast distrust and stereotypes, to talk, to listen and to inform the community.
The aim of this action is to open up to reflection and confrontation on the proposed issues combining several points of view.
The activities planned during this workshop are:
- a selection of the photographs taken by the participants, possibly also using archive photographs provided by the women involved;
- at least ten meetings with the participants to share the aims and to give some small tasks to the participants followed by a comparison of the taken images;
- the final selection of images for the subsequent production of a book;
- a photographic exhibition within a final seminar.
In addition, a moment of reflection on the path will be leaded by the photographer curator of the book who will explain the choices made, the tecniques used and the achieved results.To make the roduct available to a wider audience, it will also be translated into English and French.
