Projects and services of Community Safety and Mediation Center are built upon the development of cooperation and development of good practices, as well as campaigns or legislative initiatives that can contribute to a safer life for our communities, in family and society.
CMSC coordinated over 30 regional projects since 2000 and constantly continues its activities focused on introducing new and better standards in community development and victim support.
Relevant activities for SDG 5 promotion:
- The involvement of the civil society in gender-based budgeting, targeting appropriate financial allocation taking into account the gender dimension.
- >Developing a comprehensive approach in assisting victims of multiple discrimination and promoting social change through the specialized instruction of 300 specialists from the Moldova region. CMSC increased the awareness towards multiple discrimination, based on gender, ethnicity, age or disability among the professionals involved and improved their capacity to detect and prevent this phenomenon.
