The aim of the project is to communicate the 2030 Agenda contributing to its local implementation. The aim is to increase awareness of what the Agenda is, what its Goals and the related Targets are, through actions that contribute to realizing the Agenda over time as a reference horizon for the local government. The objective of disseminating the knowledge of the 2030 Agenda before the realization of some Targets is based on the fact that sustainability certainly passes through local policy actions, but above all through a change of
cultural order, through widespread learning. In order to be able to concretely affect the local reality, a participatory path will be required for some Target that can be pursued by the Municipality of Argenta, therefore activating monitoring processes: we will obtain actions that achieve the various Goals Targets submitted to the attention of the population and possibly others that emerge; the monitoring elements, also from a statistical point of view, will be fundamental for specifying public policies. At the bottom of this need is the idea that sustainability is achieved through public policies and private actions, which are shared and monitored. Therefore, in addition to actions that refer to a first moment of knowledge of the 2030 Agenda, there will be others dedicated to specific Targets. The monitoring phase will not end because, as statistical data, it will be instrumental in verifying the progress of some decisions taken.
The aim of the monitoring is to collect statistical data that allow the administration to define more and more useful actions to achieve the 2030 Agenda Goals, involving other subjects in the process, such as schools, the
‘Ausl’, trade unions and employers, civil society associations, non-profit organizations and citizens.
