The main goal of the project is helping to promote critical understanding and implementation at local level of Agenda 2030, on one hand by giving information to citizens and of the other hand by taking actions in the local decision-making process.
A communication and advocacy campaign will be structured with innovative activities to involve a very large urban community, at about ninety thousand inhabitants. The project will not only raise citizens awareness, but it will also reach local administrators.
More specifically, the foreseen actions are:
- to spread knowledge of the SDGs in the territory of the Union of Romagna Faentina;
- to analyse the contribution of territorial management policies to the SDGs;
- to develop appropriate communication actions in order to generate a wider awareness among citizens on the development systems of the territory.
These activities have been planned in order to create a participatory sense in the community to create a solid and shared basis for the achievement of the goals.
A final document and an Integrated Report, a communication campaign and a video will be the output of the actions.
Thanks to the above mentioned activities it will be possible to identify how the development of local policies can contribute to the implementation of the priority SDGs set in the call and consequently to define their impact on the territory.
