The project aims to contribute to the localization of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting the crucial role of Public Administrations and integrating the 2030 Agenda into local policies. In particular, the project moves on two main axes: on the one hand, it aims to improve citizens’ knowledge, awareness and critical understanding of the 2030 Agenda and in particular of the SDGs 5, 11, 13, 16 and 17, with specific attention to gender and migration issues; secondly, it intends to mobilize citizens for the local implementation of the 2030 Agenda through an innovative and effective communication campaign built in a participatory manner, with a gender-oriented language and capable of reaching the migrant population in the territory.
With regard to the first objective, the project will promote a series of activities to deepen the 2030 Agenda and the priority SDGs in their local declination, looking above all at achieving gender equality and combating all forms of discrimination against women and girls, to the promotion of inclusive, safe, long-lasting and sustainable cities and human settlements, to the implementation of actions to combat climate change and to the development of effective, responsible and transparent institutions with an increased sensitivity towards environmental issues.
With regard to the second objective, for which the construction of a communication campaign focused on SDG 13 (Climate action) is planned, the direct involvement and active participation of the informal movements of young people who have mobilized to take on a central role in environmental issues in the Bologna area. The campaign, in fact, will take place together with the boys and girls of Friday For Future and ‘Collettivo Interscolastico’, starting from their concrete proposals presented during the Council Commission of the Municipality of Bologna "Territory and Environment" on the 11th of September 2019, aimed at deepening the requests from the Fridays For Future movement
in Bologna and the state of environmental policies.
