As one of the first cities to be part of 100 Resilient Cities, the Municipality of Vejle was the first city in Europe to form a strategy within resilience. The strategy was formed in 2016 with goals set for 2020. The strategy was centered around 4 areas:
- The Co-creating city
- Climate resilience
- Social resilience
- Smart City
The Chief Resilience Officer (CRO) in Vejle has been the key figure of the work around resilience. In the beginning of 2020 Gitte Grove Poulsen, CRO, told about the work and its development since 2016.
