Nice Things Social Economy Workshop is a project, which was created for NGOs from City of Poznań, in order to make all Poznan citizens' life better. The studio was created as part of the "Wielkopolska Region Solidarity Economy Center" project, implemented by the Mutual Assistance Foundation "Barka". The project partner is the City of Poznań. The most important task of this project is to create new jobs within social economy enterprises, as well as increase the importance of the social economy in the region. The project involves the reintegration of excluded people, animation in local environments, development of new social enterprises (including subsidies and bridge support), and assistance to existing ones (including improving the qualifications and professional experience of PES employees as part of business processes). In the newly opened workshop people can get to know products and handicrafts created by local social economy institutions - i.e. social enterprises, social cooperatives, non-profit companies, NGOs, occupational therapy workshops, etc. The newly opened workshop is also focused on information and educational activities. It is a place for meetings, workshops and seminars on the subject of social economy. The studio is hosting people working in this sector and organize events, which allow them to establish business contacts.
